Friday Scrapbooking- Jared Anderson

So fun stuff went on this past weekend…
Our friend Jen invited us to see Jared Anderson at a church in Gloucester. It was their __ anniversary party… I forget the amount of years. Lol… was an interesting church. I kinda felt like I was in the audience of a TV show or something… lol. But very very nice and welcoming people. Especially Norm who showed us around and got to hear from Eleanor that his name was one letter short of our dog’s name.

Jared is probably known best for his song “Great I Am.” At least in my circles… The band played a favorite of mine “Great are You Lord,” before Jared came on. They were excellent and the sound system was … almost too good… And it really emphasized Jared’s talent. We’ve been enjoying the couple CD’s we have of his, but sometimes I feel like in the production, some raw gets cooked. So I think you miss out on a lot that you can only capture through a live performance. Most of the time it was just him and the piano and honestly, for me, most of the time less is more. Not that I don’t appreciate a good pile of instruments magically woven together into a musical quilting of wonderlands, ya sometimes just have to buy the base model to really appreciate the power.

What is this, metaphor night? NO, this is scraptastic night! So let’s get scrappin! Maybe one friday we should do it live… we’d be here all night!!!

So besides all that, I’m so glad we were able to go with Jen and her two daughters. We had such a good time and left so inspired.
